The post-mortem report of Anupama Gulati,33,has revealed that she had died of asphyxiation, thus corroborating the story told to the police by her engineer husband, who allegedly strangulated her,and then severed her body and hid the pieces inside a deep-freezer. Anupamas husband Rajesh Gulati 37 had told the police during interrogation that on October 17,he had banged her head against a wall, following which she fell unconscious, and that he had later strangulated her.A special police team has been constituted to look into the case and would apprise the Dehra Dun SSP of its findings on a daily basis. The police team has taken Gulati to the hills of Mussoorie in an effort to recover some pieces of Anupamas body which he had allegedly thrown there a few days back. If the pieces are recovered, they would be sent for DNA test,Dehra Dun SSP G S Martolia said. The couple had married in 1999 after a long courtship. However, their relations had later turned sour.
