After being questioned and having his house searched,BJP MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh will be subjected to a lie detection test by the CBI in the RTI activist Shehla Masood murder case,with a special CBI court on Friday giving the green signal.
Special CBI Magistrate Dr Shubra Singh gave the permission after the agency sought the courts approval to conduct polygraph test on all suspects,including architect Zahida Parvez,Saquib Ali,Saba Farooqui and Dhruv Narayan Singh. Singh gave his consent before the court on Friday to undergo the test,CBI sources said.
The CBI suspects that Parvez hired the other accused out of jealousy,as she believed that Masood was getting too close to Narayan.
Another accused,Irfan,was remanded to CBI custody up to March 16. He was formally arrested under section 302 murder and 120-B criminal conspiracy. The agency had sought his custody for interrogation.
Doc suspended for prescribing costly drugs in Rajasthan
A government doctor was on Friday suspended for prescribing costly branded medicines to patients despite availability of free generic versions in the hospital in Bikaner.
Dr P C Tanwar posted at government hospital Nokha in Bikaner district was suspended after verification of complaints, Principal Secretary-Medical B N Sharma said. He used to prescribe branded medicines in most of the cases so the patients had to purchase costly drugs from medical stores outside the hospital instead of getting them in the hospital for free under government schemes, he said. The branded medicines were available in the hospital as generic medicines for free,he said.
Under the Chief Ministers free medicines scheme,generic medicines are made available for free in all the hospitals across the state.
