Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that had the Taliban militants overrun his country,their next targets would have been India and Bangladesh. India and Bangladesh would have been next if the Taliban had taken over, Malik said. He also tweeted,that his Indian counterpart P Chidambaram was an intelligent and capable leader.

Taliban commander among 14 killed

Fourteen Taliban fighters,including a commander,were gunned down by security forces during clashes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and the nearby tribal belt in northwest Pakistan on Sunday,officials said. Eight militants were killed during a clash with troops in Mohmand tribal region. Taliban commander Fazal Raheem was shot dead in the Swat valley along with five others.
