Taking the example of Congress party in India, Hasina said, "How many seats did they get in the last election? They could not focus on who would be their PM. Such an old and established party, but who will be the leader of the party? It was not clear. So people didn’t vote for them."
During the talks, Modi said that "Hasina's victory was the reflection of Bangladesh's stunning development under her dynamic leadership," press secretary of Bangladesh Prime Minister Ihsanul Karim said.
The ruling coalition has bagged more than 80 per cent of votes, making it one of the strongest governments in South Asia. This is an unprecedented feat in the country's political history as no other leader in Bangladesh has been able to win a third term.

Midnapur, Feb 18 (ANI): An Indo-Bangladesh special Urs train with 2,210 pilgrims on board arrived at Midnapur Railway station, West Bengal, from Rajbari in Bangladesh on Thursday morning. The Urs special train service was started in 1903. Every year, people of all faiths come to Midnapore Urs to seek blessings of Boro Huzur, a descendant of Boropir Abdul Qadir Jilani, who came to India from Iraq in the 19th century to preach Islam.
Jalpaiguri, Feb 17 (ANI): A new immigration check point between India and Bangladesh is expected to boost trade and ties between the neighbours. The immigration centre would be inaugurated in Siliguri town on February 18. The new check point has been set up after fervent protests by local businessmen. The first immigration centre was opened in 1994 for trade between Bhutan and Bangladesh and in 1997 for trade between Nepal and Bangladesh
