Paid news expenses go into ministers election account

The Election Commission has detected instances of paid news in favour of Madhya Pradesh Parliamentary Affairs and Law Minister Narottam Mishra; the alleged payment has been added to his poll expenses. Mishra is contesting from Datia and the ECs district media certification and monitoring committee found reportage of the BJP minister in local newspapers on November 1 to be paid news. The committee has added an amount of Rs 42,640.60 to the expenditure accounts of Mishra and a report has been shared with the EC in Bhopal and Delhi and also with the income-tax department.
