Orissa allocates Rs 2,105 cr for post-Phailin reconstruction

A month and a half after Phailin struck Orissa,the Naveen Patnaik government Friday presented a supplementary budget in the Assembly with a special allocation of Rs 2,105 crore for post-Phailin reconstruction and input subsidy on seeds and fertiliser to farmers in cyclone-affected areas. Phailin struck the state on October 12. Presenting the supplementary Budget,state Finance Minister Prasanna Acharya said the allocation included an anticipated release of Rs 1,800 crore from National Disaster Response Fund. ENS
