Oil marketers,airlines shares surge

Shares of PSU oil cos and airlines were trading higher on the back of a sharp fall in international crude prices.

Shares of state-run oil marketing companies and airlines were trading higher on the back of a sharp fall in international crude prices,several dealers said. US crude futures edged down on Monday,extending losses seen in the previous session on a slightly firmer dollar and news that Saudi was offering more oil to Asian customers . At 12.12 p.m.,shares in Indian Oil Corp ,Bharat Petroleum Corp ,Hindustan Petroleum Corp as well as carriers Jet Airways ,Kingfisher Airlines and SpiceJet were up 1-2.5 per cent.
