Faced with this innocent question from a very young student while on a visit to the National Crafts Museum in the Capital on Monday,the US First Lady replied,I always wait for him to say sorry because I am a woman. In an interaction with students earlier,while appreciating a statue of Durga,she said,Every woman has to help another woman.

Obama a personal friend of PM

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Barack Obama on Monday showered praise on each other during their meeting. After holding bilateral talks at Hyderabad House in the Capital,Obama,at a joint press conference,called Singh his friend and thanked the Prime Minister and his wife Gursharan Kaur for the gracious hospitality and the wonderful dinner they hosted on Sunday night. Singh said,I welcome the President as a personal friend and a charismatic leader who has made a deep imprint on world affairs.

No collaboration in media please

US President Barack Obama may be elated over striking deals with India in various fields but he did not want a collaboration between the two countries in one area media! At the joint press conference with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,when he was pressed by India journalists to answer a part of a question raised by an American mediaperson relating to the USs stand on a permanent UNSC seat for India,he said amidst laughter,I am instructed to take only one question. It is not surprising that Indian media and the US media are collaborating. That is not the kind of collaboration we are looking forward too.

Keeping the monkeys at bay

The langur in Parliament was active till half an hour before President Barack Obama reached Sansad Bhawan if coconuts were the worry in Mumbai,here monkeys had to be kept firmly away and the langur did well in fulfilling that mission.
