The Mumbai Police Crime Branchs Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has written to the Registrar of Companies informing about irregularities in the working of the National Spot Exchange Ltd (NSEL) that were found during its probe over the last one week,said Rajyavardhan Sinha,Additional Commissioner of Police.
The EOW will on Tuesday begin analysing the hard disks,pen drives,bank account statements and books of account in order to follow the money trail.

As part of its probe,the EOW had sent teams across the country to search the offices of the companies that defaulted in their payments to the NSEL. Out of the 27 companies under the police scanner,nine were found to be bogus.
