Emphasizing the importance of dialogue with Pakistan on the crucial issue of water,Union Minister for Water Resources Harish Rawat said talks have to happen and will happen,though no time frame has been set.
Indo-Pak secretary-level talks on water had been proposed during August-September. Comprehensive dialogue between the two countries paused after the beheading of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani Army in January. But both countries indicated in July that dialogue,including a meeting between water secretaries,could be resumed.
We have to talk. We cant stop talking with Pakistan8230; Right now,it is difficult to give a time frame but talks will happen, Rawat said.
