Billu was a blip. So Shah Rukh fans can cheer his first big film in almost a year. It also brings back Kajol to the screen after four years. Watch it to see if the old chemistry still smoulders. Khan plays Rizwan Khan,a Muslim suffering from Aspergers syndrome, who and moves to San Francisco where he meets and marries Mandira,a single mother played by Kajol. Karan Johar takes up the current flavour of Bollywood: the Muslim in a post-9/11 world.

Kites March

Golden boy Hrithik Roshan in a big role after a crackling cameo in Zoya Akhtars Luck By Chance. This is the story of a salsa teacher Hrithik who falls in love with his student, played by Latina bombshell Barbara Mori. If nothing, expect some divine moves on the dance floor.

Aisha April
Director: Rajshree Ojha
A modern-day adaptation of Jane Austens Emma. We arent too kicked with Sonam Kapoor as the young heroine but Abhay Deol as Mr Knightley is a delicious prospect.

Another take on contemporary politics from Prakash Jha is inspired by Mahabharata. Current box-office darling Ranbir Kapoor plays Arjun and Katrina Kaif a character said to be modeled on Sonia Gandhi. But what we would really love to see: Manoj Bajpai pull off a cracker of a performance. Long overdue.

Raavan May
Director: Mani Ratnam
One of the years biggies is Ratnams contemporary take on the Ramayan. Starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai.

Dostana 2 October
Director: Tarun Mansukhani
The sequel to a movie that tipped its hat to the gay rights movement in India plays out in the UK. Priyanka Chopra is missing but expect more male bonding from John Abraham and Junior B.
