NDFB chief to be released tomorrow

National Democratic Front of Bodoland NDFB chairman Ranjan Daimary,who was arrested in December 2010 after being apprehended in Bangladesh,is likely to be released from jail on Saturday. While the court granted him bail for eight cases in April,bail for the five remaining cases including four TADA cases was granted on Tuesday.

Daimary was originally held for 13 cases,including waging war against India. His counsel Manas Sarania said,8221;We have submitted the bail sureties and other documents that the courts have asked for. He is likely to be out on Saturday,or latest by Tuesday.8221;

The TADA court has granted bail in four cases and the additional sessions court granted him bail in one case. They have also directed authorities to provide adequate security to Daimary in view of the threat perception against him.
