MP Cong infighting surfaces during meet with Rahul

It is not the first time that Bhuria, who has been under attack for his failure to mobilise the party against the BJP government in the state, has targeted who he considers as his political rivals.

Undeterred by party vice-president Rahul Gandhis warning to party leaders on Tuesday against indulging in factional fights,Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief Kantilal Bhuria on Wednesday trained his guns at Union ministers from the state, alleging he is not involved when the ministers go on tours.

At Rahuls meeting with Congress MPs from Madhya Pradesh Wednesday,Bhuria said that when Union ministers hold meetings in the state, the PCC chief is ignored. Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was, however, learnt to have protested that his tours to the state are for official functions.

Another party MP Sajjan Singh Verma was then said to have intervened, informing Rahul how the PCC chief had appointed at least 20 delegates in Gwalior District Congress Committee without consulting Scindia.

It is not the first time that Bhuria, who has been under attack for his failure to mobilise the party against the BJP government in the state, has targeted who he considers as his political rivals. At a meeting with Rahul last month,Bhuria had targeted both Scindia and Kamal Nath for ignoring him.

This came at a time when Rahul Gandhi is reviewing the performance of PCCs and is said to be in the process of replacing non-performers. Bhurias diatribe came just a day after Rahul had told Haryana MPs that he could not let the Congress become its own opposition.
