Mirah opens Rajdhani restaurant in Chandigarh-Mohali,Ludhiana,Amritsar next in line

Aji Nair,Vice-President-Food and Beverages Division,Mirah Hospitality told media persons here today that the group plans to open restaurants at Mohali,Amritsar and Ludhiana in Punjab during the current calendar year. In all the group is all set to open 13 new outlets across the country and abroad by the end of this fiscal at an estimated outlay of Rs 30 crore. The overseas restaurants would come up at Dubai and Singapore. Aji Nair said,We have plans to open 13 new Rajdhani outlets across the country by the end of this fiscal. Two of these will be in Kolkata,three in Punjab at Mohali,Ludhiana and Amritsar,one each in Delhi,Hyderabad and Mumbai,two in Dubai and Singapore and three in some other locations. It has already opened an outlet in Oman. The restaurant chain has a strong presence in South with 17 of its existing 37 outlets located in the southern cities of Bangalore,Chennai,Hyderabad and Coimbatore. Apart from south,the eaterys outlets are located in Mumbai,Delhi,Kolkata and in Tier-II cities like Gurgaon,Ghaziabad,Indore,Shirdi,Pune,Bhopal,Nasik and Baroda.

According to Nair,Rajdhani had a turnover of Rs 65 crores during 2011-12 and during 2012-13,an estimated turnover of about Rs 85 crores. He said that each restaurant gives employment to about 50 people directly and to many more indirectly.

Rajdhani is a thali-only vegetarian restaurant chain serving traditional Gujrati and Rajasthani food. Satya Prakash Lakhera,Unit Sales and Operations Manager for Chandigarh informed that maharaja thali at Rajdhani Chandigarh offering 32 delicacies would cost only Rs 350 per head.
