Makeover

Neha Dhupia,who is wearing a saree for the first time in Maximum,on how she slipped into her new avatar easily.

Neha Dhupia has gone de-glam for her next film,Maximum. The actress,who plays Sonu Sood8217;s wife in the action thriller,says that her character,Supriya,is a full-time homemaker and she had to look like the woman-next-door. Director Kabeer Kaushik thought that I should wear sarees in the film,and though I could never imagine myself looking like this,with minimal makeup and only attired in cotton sarees I was not uncomfortable at all. In fact,I should have done this earlier because I realised that I quite enjoyed wearing sarees, beams the actress who is known more for her fashionable Western attires.

While the sarees were supplied by a local Mumbai store,Dhupia8217;s hairstylist helped her drape the sarees before the shots as the actress was not familiar with the procedure. But now I can wear a saree quite quickly, she laughs.

Moreover,the actress has decided to appear in character for promotions as well! The story of strife for power between two encounter specialists in Mumbai,this Kabeer Kaushik directorial venture has Sonu Sood and Naseeruddin Shah as the male protagonists,and releases on June 29.
