The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel,Law and Justice has called Central Vigilance Commissioner Pradeep Kumar and civil rights activist and National Advisory Council member Aruna Roy on Friday to elicit their views on the Lokpal Bill.
The committee has also invited several people, including senior lawyer Harish Salve and chairman of the Centre for Policy Research Pratap Bhanu Mehta,on Saturday.
Sources disclosed the Pradeep Kumar is likely to pitch in for a vigilance framework under Lokpal for checking corruption by corporate houses.
The CVC would obviously use the opportunity to articulate its concerns vis-a-vis allocation of work and powers,so that there is no conflict of interest between the commission and the proposed Lokpal.
