A meeting of radical and militant groups organised by the JuD in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir PoK on Thursday sought lifting of a ban on jehadi groups so that they could press on with their movement for independence of Kashmir.
A declaration unanimously adopted at the Kashmir Solidarity Conference in Muzaffarabad said the regions status as a base camp for militant groups should be restored and the ban on Kashmiri jehadi groups should be lifted.
If the rulers cannot help the Kashmiris, they should open the field for Kashmiri mujahideen instead of creating hurdles. They mujahideen will deal with India, said the declaration issued in Urdu.
The meeting was the first major gathering of radical and militant groups to be held in PoK in several years to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day,observed across Pakistan every year on February 5. It was also JuDs first major event after lying low following the 26/11 crackdown.
The rulers of Pakistan must desist from becoming part of international conspiracies to project the American agenda on Kashmir. The Kashmiri nation will continue its freedom movement with full force despite all conspiracies, it said. The radical groups also pledged to foil any effort aimed at forging a friendship treaty and trade with India.

The groups held Pakistans rulers responsible for divisions in the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.
The differences emerged after the rulers left the fundamental slogan of Kashmir is Pakistans lifeline8230; If the rulers are sincere about resolving the Kashmir issue, they should stand by the longstanding policy on Kashmir. The groups also called on the Hurriyat to show unity in taking forward the freedom movement in Kashmir.
JuD chief Hafiz Mohammed Saeed, accused by India for the Mumbai attacks, will address Friday prayers and a conference in Lahore,JuD spokesman Mujahid said. Senior JuD leader Abdur Rehman Makki will deliver a sermon at a prayer congregation in Rawalpindi on Friday and then lead a rally to the Aabpara area in Islamabad. Siddiqui found guilty of attempted murder
NEW YORK
Pakistani neuroscientist,Aafia Siddiqui, has been found guilty of attempted murder by grabbing a soldiers gun and opening fire on American soldiers and FBI agents when they came to question her in a holding room in Afghanistans Ghazni city.
The decision was reached by the jury of a federal court in Manhattan who deliberated for almost two days. The 37-year-old faces up to 60 years in prison for attempted murder and armed assault. This is a verdict coming from Israel and not from America, she said. Thats where the anger belongs. I can testify to this and I have proof.
For the past two weeks, the prosecution presented witnesses testifying that Siddiqui had pulled the trigger, but the defence pointed out that the prosecution had no physical evidence that the gun had also been fired. The US agents escaped unharmed, but Siddiqui took a bullet to the stomach.
President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday ordered the government to provide legal assistance to Siddiqui even as the Foreign Office expressed dismay at the unexpected verdict.
