Prabhas’ The Raja Saab gets U/A certification: CBFC cuts beheading scene, trims gory scenes
After getting the gory scenes cut from the film, Prabhas' The Raja Saab received a U/A 16+ certificate. A particular beheading scene was shortened in the movie.

Prabhas is currently gearing up for his upcoming release, horror comedy film The Raja Saab. Directed by Maruthi, the film is set to hit the theatres on January 9 for Sankranthi. It has now been reported that it has received two major cuts from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The Raja Saab has been granted a UA certification.
According to reports by Bollywood Hungama, the makers of the film were given a list of cuts and changes, dated December 24, 2025. They were given a UA 16+ certificate with a runtime of 189 minutes (3 hours 9 minutes). They makers were instructed to remove or modify two specific gory scenes, including the visuals of blood on the floor. The changes were made, turning the 35-second-long scene into monochrome, i.e black and white.
The second modification was made in the clear visuals of beheading a person, which was then shortened and turned into flashes on the screen. The scene was cut by four seconds by the makers. A few changes were also made to AD (audio description) and CC (closed captioning) according to CBFC directives.

Directed and written by Maruthi, The RajaSaab is produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment. Besides Prabhas, it also features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Boman Irani. The movie will have a pan-India release in several languages, including, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Along with The Raja Saab, many other Telugu and Tamil are clashing at the theatres, this Sankranthi. On the day of its release, Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan will also hit the theatres. During the same week, Sivakarthikeyan starrer Parasakthi, Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, and Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju are also expected to release on the big screen.
