Viral video shows 17-year-old surprising mother by paying off her Rs 12-lakh debt: ‘Words cannot explain this feeling’

Aman speaks gently to his emotional mother, saying everything he does is for her and their family.

A mother was left deeply moved after her 17-year-old son surprised her with a gesture she never saw coming, clearing her entire debt and promising to take care of her expenses.

The moment was captured in a video shared on Instagram by Aman Duggal. In the clip, Aman tells his mother that he has paid off her £10,000 debt (around Rs 12.2 lakh). The video carries a simple text overlay: “Paying off my mum’s £10,000 debt and retiring her at 17.”

Visibly emotional, Aman speaks to his mother as she struggles to keep herself together. He tells her how much she means to him and says everything he does is for her, himself, and their family. He admits he was nervous sharing the news, explaining that this was something he had dreamt of doing for a long time because of all she had sacrificed for him.

He then asks her to close her eyes. When she opens them and asks what he is showing her, Aman tells her it is £10,000, enough to wipe out all her debts. He adds that he will now be handling her monthly bills as well. Overwhelmed, his mother breaks down, and the two embrace in an emotional hug.

Alongside the video, Aman wrote, “My mum has given and done everything she can for me, and I’m so happy and proud that I can finally take care of her. Words cannot explain this feeling.” He added that he had imagined this moment countless times and that it became a reality just a year after he started working towards it. “I’m incredibly grateful and thank you, God, my mum and also myself,” he wrote.

The video quickly gained traction online, with viewers praising the teenager’s gratitude and sense of responsibility. One comment read, “Congrats bro, taking care of the person who took care of you when you couldn’t.” Another Instagram user wrote, “This was my dream before, I’m so happy to see someone else live it.” Others echoed similar emotions, with one saying, “We cannot be tired until our parents have been retired.”

A particularly heartfelt comment came from a user: “Respect to you bro, I lost my mom when I was just 7 years old. I’d do anything to be able to do something like this. I’m glad your mom got blessed with a son like you.”
