MapmyIndia launched CarPad 5,an all-in-one GPS navigator,smartphone and 3G tablet. The company seems to have sensed tablets threat to GPS devices and created a hybrid. CarPad 5 runs on Androids Gingerbread version and has built-in 3G,WiFi,Bluetooth and of course,GPS connectivity. The 5-inch tablet has a capacitive touchscreen and is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery. It features MapmyIndias 3D navigation interface Aura,which provides real-time traffic updates and more.
HP Elitebook 2170p
Hewlett-Packard has launched notebook Elitebook 2170p in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 69,000. It has an 11.6-inch display and weighs 1.31 kg. The notebook seems to be more like a netbook. HP says it is the slimmest and lightest among Elitebooks. The Elitebook 2170p features HP FitTight battery lock that keeps your battery secure even when you drop the notebook,while the HP DisplaySafe frame acts like a shock absorber to protect the display panel in case of an impact.
HCL ME Y2
Y2 is the latest tablet in HCLs ME lineup. It offers 3G connectivity with a built-in SIM slot and the usual WiFi and Bluetooth.
The 7-inch tablet runs on Androids Ice Cream Sandwich version and has a 1Ghz processor and 1GB RAM. Y2 comes with 8GB of storage,expandable to 32GB with a microSD card. The tablet is loaded with applications like ThinkFree Office mobile,which helps users create,edit,view and share documents. This tablet has two cameras and mini-USB,mini-HDMI ports.
