HTC Desire X

HTC launched an Android smartphone called Desire X in India last week. The phone has a 4-inch 800215;400 pixel super LCD display. The phone is fairly light at 114 grams. It runs HTCs customised interface,Sense 4.0a,on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes with 4GB internal memory and users get 25GB cloud storage free for two years on Dropbox. The Desire X comes with a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus,which also has LED flash.

Fujifilm XF1

Fujifilm has brought its premium mirrorless compact camera,XF1,to the Indian market. The company said this segment is the way forward for camera makers,with smartphones eating into camera sales. Mirrorless compacts provide professional-grade features in a portable body and XF1 looks to do just that with its f/1.8 aperture that promises good low-light pictures. It has an aluminium and synthetic leather body and a 4x zoom lens with a zoom ring. The camera looks stylish and is priced on par with other premium mirrorless compact cameras in the market.

Plantronics Voyager Legend

Plantronics launched two new Bluetooth headsets Voyager Legend and Marque 2. The company says the Voyager Legend comes with Smart Sensor technology and voice controls. The product can minimise background noise and optimise your voice for call clarity. Smart Sensor lets you answer calls by placing the headset on your ear. Voyager Legend has voice alerts for battery level,name of the caller,etc. It takes voice commands to answer or ignore calls too. Marque 2 is a compact headset,the successor to Plantronics Marque 155.

BenQ GP 10

BenQs GP10 is a 720-pixel short-throw projector. The GP10 is capable of projecting pictures and video that appear as huge as 160 inches at 720-pixel quality. The projector is fairly portable at 1.5 kg. It is an LED-powered projector,which is eco-friendly but not as bright as mercury lamp ones. The brightness is rated at 550 lumen. The company says the GP10 has a lamp life of 30,000 hours and contrast ratio of 10,000:1. It has an optional removable DVD player,HDMI ports,can play movies through USB port,SD card slot and built-in 3-watt speakers.
