Lacoste to extend Live brand to women

The company expects to grow at 45-50 per cent year-on- year,but did not disclose the revenue target.

After establishing its new brand 8216;Live8217; for men in the premium leisure wear segment,the French luxury major Lacoste now plans to take the offering to women.

8220;So far Live has been restricted to men. From next season February/March we will launch Lacoste Live for women.

Footwear and bags will also come in the Lacoste Live range,8221; Lacoste India Director and Chief Executive Rajesh Jain said.

Lacoste Live is a smaller boutique format targeted at the fashion-oriented youth. It opened its first showroom in Delhi in July.

The company is working on adding 2-3 more stores in Delhi and Mumbai and is planning to expand the number of stores to 64 in the next three years.

8220;As far as expansion is concerned,we have 32 points of sale now and we plan to double this number in the next three years8230;Delhi and Mumbai are our focus areas,8221; Jain said.

He,however,parried a question on the investments.

On whether the new stores would target B-class metros,he said,8221;We are looking at Ahmedabad,Pune,Chandigarh,Lucknow,Indore and Kochi,where we are already present and would like to expand. But I don8217;t see that happening in the next two years.8221;
