All obstacles before former Jharkhand CM Madhu Kodas release from Birsa Munda Central Jail have now been removed, with the HC granting him bail in the fourth case he is currently charged with.
The HC noted that the CBI failed to file a chargesheet in the case originating from the alleged corruption in the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme in Dumka and Palamu districts. Hyderabad-based IVRCL Infrastructure is alleged to have paid Vinod Sinha Rs 11.4 crore to obtain contracts. The court also took into consideration the fact that Sinha was recently granted bail by the SC in the same case.
