Kingfisher to start Kolkata-Bangkok flights from Aug 14

Kingfisher Airlines will launch direct flights between Kolkata and Bangkok from August 14.

Kingfisher Airlines will launch direct flights between Kolkata and Bangkok from August 14,the fifth international destination on its network and the first to South East Asia.

“The launch of this new route will be the first time that Kingfisher Airlines will be commencing operations from India to South East Asia,” Kingfisher said in a statement.

The flights will leave Kolkata at 11:20 am and reach Bangkok at 3:15 pm local time. The return flight will leave Bangkok at 4:30 pm and reach Kolkata at 5:45 pm.

“The flights between Kolkata and Bangkok will be operated using the A320 family of aircraft featuring Kingfisher Class,the premium economy service…,” the statement said.

It added that besides catering to entrepreneurs,traders and leisure traffic,the flights will offer emerging traffic segments like MICE — meetings,incentives,conventions and expositions.

The four international destinations that Kingfisher already flies are London,Colombo,Dhaka and Dubai.
