Jet Airways inks $62 mn IT deal with IBM

The ten-year deal,valued at USD 62 million,will help Jet Airways achieve significant growth.

Technology giant IBM said it has entered into a 10-year business transformation and information technology (IT) services deal worth USD 62 million with Jet Airways.

The ten-year deal,valued at USD 62 million,will help Jet Airways achieve significant growth by aligning the company’s IT needs with the business strategy,IBM said in a statement.

As part of the deal,IBM will provide technology solutions to transform the airline’s business areas such as airport operations,direct distribution and frequent flier programs,it added.

IBM will support Jet Airways with IT infrastructure and application support services,including employee transition,data centre operations,central help desk support,server and storage operations,internet security services,network management,SAP and other operating system.

This will help Jet Airways improve and integrate its IT systems improve its operational efficiency.
