Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan introduces VB-G RAM G Bill: ‘It’s for the establishment of Ram Rajya’

The Opposition opposed the introduction of the VB-G RAM G Bill under Rule 72(1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Tuesday introduced the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) or VB-G RAM G Bill, 2025, in Lok Sabha, which is aimed at repealing the existing Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee (MGNREG) Act, 2005.

The Bill was introduced even as Opposition members opposed its introduction in the House.

Seeking leave of the House for the introduction of the Bill, Chouhan said, “Yeh poora Bill Mahatma Gandhi ki bhawana ke anuroop hai, aur Ram Rajya ki sthapana ke liye hai (The Bill is in accordance with the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi, and for the establishment of Ram Rajya)”.
