It takes two to Tango

Abhay Deol and Arjun Rampals jhatkas in Chakravyuh.

Though Arjun Rampal plays a cop,and Abhay Deol a naxalite in Chakrvyuh both agreed to do an item number in the film, and no one was more pleased than director Prakash Jha.

Abhay loved the song,Paro, but initially he expressed his reservations about it as he8217;s not comfortable dancing. And this song is one which Arjun Rampal and he used to perform during their college days and once again dance to it,when they meet seven years later for a college reunion. So its a very young, rowdy and a carefree number where they think of some imaginary Paro and sing to her, explained Jha.

Abhay finally agreed to do it, but when choreographer Ganesh Acharya showed him the dance moves he was once again reluctant saying he would not be able to do the jhatkas and latkas of the tapori number convincingly. Ganesh and I both had to really convince him to do the number and he asked for 10 days to practice to perfect his steps. Arjun on the other hand was more easy going and managed to grasp the steps with two days of rehearsals! said Jha who actually heaved a sigh of relief after both gave the perfect shot.

Chakrvyuh is presently being shot in Panchmari in Madhya Pradesh.
