After completing the acquisition of Fame India Limited (Fame) on January 7,2011, Inox Leisure Limited (Inox) has re-constituted the Board of Directors of Fame. Shyam Shroff and Shravan Shroff,the erstwhile promoter nominees,along with Salim Govani and Susan Thomas,two independent Directors have resigned,and will accordingly no longer be on the Board of Fame. Pavan Jain has been appointed as Chairman while Deepak Asher shall continue as a Director on the Fame Board as an Inox nominee. Kishore Biyani and Amit Jatia will also continue as independent directors. Speaking after the Board Meeting,Asher said,We are delighted to have taken over control over the Board of Fame. BIG Cinemas and Mudra Group release new anthem On the occasion of Indias 61st Republic day,BIG Cinemas in association with the Mudra Group has released a new National Anthem video across its cinemas. The National Anthem has been shot in Sign Language and enacted by children with a Hearing/Speech Impairment. The anthem has been directed by Amit Sharma of Chrome Pictures based on the concept by Mudra Group. MAMI dates for 2011 announced The Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) announced the dates of the next edition of the Mumbai Film Festival. The 13th Mumbai Film Festival will be held from 13th to 20th October 2011. The 13th Mumbai Film Festival will start accepting submissions from 1st April 2011. The regulations,entry forms and other details will be announced shortly. The 12th Mumbai Film Festival hosted 215 feature films from 58 countries. There were 315 screenings. The Festival opened on October 21 2010 with David Finchers The Social Network and closed with Red starring Bruce Willis,Morgan Freeman,Helen Mirren and John Malkovich on October 28 2010.
