Indian freelancers join PeoplePerHour

Online outsourcing marketplace has seen an increase in number of freelancers being hired by SMEs.

PeoplePerHour.com – the online outsourcing marketplace for businesses – has seen an increase in the number of freelancers being hired by small businesses.

Since,the launch of PeoplePerHour.com in UK in 2007,followed by its launch in US and in India earlier this year,the site has a community of more than 1,10,000 registered freelancers. Those based in India have gone up to more than 15,000 with an average hourly rate of US $16. This brings India’s share to 14% of the total global pie,which is growing at the rate of 20 %.

India ranks first among all the Asian countries in terms of registered freelancers.
