Fight over cricket leaves 12-yr-old dead

A 12-year-old boy was bludgeoned to death with a bat following a fight between opposing cricket team in Patna on Sunday.

The incident took place around 5.30 pm at B N College ground when Aakash,son of Ajit Yadav of Pirbahore,started arguing with boys playing against his team. A 16-year-old boy beat up Aakash with a bat in a fit of rage. Hit on the head and face,the boy died while being taken to the Patna Medical College and Hospital. Patna SSP Vinit Vinayak said they were trying to trace the suspects and investigating if there was any other motive. Aakashs father Ajit Yadav blamed local boys who used to bully younger boys playing cricket in the ground.
