The Indian electrical equipment industry has retained its sparkle and maintained growth momentum in the first quarter of the year 2010-2011,said PV Krishna,Director General,IEEMA. The sector has shown an impressive growth of 17.42 per cent during the first quarter of 2010-2011 as against a growth of just 1.24 per cent in same period of last year. IEEMA members have ramped up their production capacities and are fully equipped to provide quality products at competitive prices,Krishna said.
The highest growth of 38 per cent was registered by the switchgear segment in first quarter of 2010-2011,consisting of MV and HV breakers,where growth has increased sharply as compare to previous years first quarter.
