EC registers AAP,bars emblem use

The Election Commission has registered the Aam Aadmi Party but barred it from using the national emblem,the Ashoka Chakra,in party material. The AAP has accepted the direction.

The Lokpal agitation,the precursor to AAP,saw liberal use of national symbols. AAP has been registered with effect from March 21,2013. The party has not yet been issued an exclusive symbol.
