Joining issue with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh for questioning his track record on the development front during his tenure as Chief Minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has written a letter to the CM challenging him for a debate on the Naxal problem.

In the letter, the former MP CM asked him to compare the number of killings of policemen and civilians by Maoists during their tenure as chief ministers of undivided Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh respectively. Where was the state police force when the Dantewada massacre took place? Also is it not a fact that while your neighbouring states like Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh have managed to comparatively control the Naxal menace,in Chhattisgarh a major part of the state has gone under their control? asked Singh.

I hope you will reply to all my queries, he wrote.
