Former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh on Friday said that a decision will soon be taken about his re-entry to the BJP and the merger of his Jan Kranti Party Rashtravadi with the saffron party.
Singh held a meeting of national and state executive members,district presidents and other office-bearers of his party. His son Rajveer Singh alias Raju Bhaiya,who is the president of JKP,was also present.
After the meeting,Singh said the party officials discussed the current political situation and future strategy of the party for the coming Lok Sabha elections.
Party leaders raised several issues at the meeting which were discussed. In the end a resolution was passed to authorise party president Rajveer Singh for soon taking the final decision on the future course of the party, said Singh.
For some time,the BJP leaders have been trying to work out the re-entry of Singh into the BJP fold,but the former chief minister had not commented on these efforts. On Friday,he said the merger of the JKP with the BJP was one of the several proposals discussed at the meeting and Rajveer will soon take a decision on it. Rajveer said he will soon take the final call about his partys future.
