After the spectacular win of Kolkata Knight Riders,when,asked whether daughter Suhaana who had accompanied him to the IPL matches was his lucky mascot,he replied that she was lucky not just for the tournament but because she was his daughter. Why cricket,she is lucky for me. He then went on to praise her saying that she may be small statured but was extremely resilient. Aryan,who was away due to exams according to the actor,was like him. If you break his heart,he gives it up. be that as it may,both his children were delighted with the win. Aryan screamed and Suhaana screamed inside the cup and put the cover onas she has seen in cartoons!

Gown gamble

Former beauty queen Niharika Singh looked radiant in a floor length white gown at the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival where she was representing her film Miss Lovely selected for the Un Certain Regard section.

But not many are aware about her gown woes before she flew off to the prestigious festival. She recalls,The designer who was going to make my gown told me at the last minute that the gown would be worn by another actress and that he couldnt give it to me. Another designer actually called to tell me that he had burnt my gown. I was in such a mess. Luckily,designer Swapnil Shinde came to her rescue. Swapnil was gracious enough to design a gown for me at the last minute. I went to him for fittings at midnight and the next day I had to leave for Cannes. Thank god,it worked out well, says a relieved Niharika.

Marital bliss

Riteish Deshmukh is married and loving it. The actor,who tied the knot to his long time sweetheart Genelia DSouza early this year,asserts that it is great to go back home to the person you love. He even doles out advice,Every single person looking at marriage should get married. Its a great feeling.

Now that he is no longer a bachelor,the actor ensures that he takes time off from his busy schedule to spend quality time with family. I usually dont shoot on Sundays,so one day of the week is fine to recuperate and be back on work, says the actor,who will be seen in Kya Super Kool Hai Hum next.

While B-town heroes love to spout box office numbers to make a point,one has never come across an actress who keeps a tab on the box office. So Tusshar was in for a surprise when he discovered that Neha Sharma,his co-star from Kya Super Kool Hai Hum was extremely interested in film trade.

Says Tusshar,She is the first heroine I have worked with who is so clued into box office figures. She would tell me that The Dirty Picture is going to cross 8217;60-70 crore and she is expecting Kya Super Kool to cross 8217;50 crore. I would keep teasing her about it and ask her who would give her all these figures. Neha is also one of the most calm heroines I have ever met. She never gets hyper.

Akshay Kumar,one of the biggest prankster Bollywood has got,was at his best during the shooting of Rowdy Rathore. Narrating one such incident,Kajaal Vashisht,who played the role of Sonakshi Sinhas friend in the film said,We were shooting for a song in August,it incidentally happened to be raksha bandhan day. Taking the opportunity,Akshay made all the girls present on the sets tie rakhi on the wrist of all the guys,except him! It was really funny to see girls chasing guys to make them their brothers.

The actress also added that Akki,who knew a bit of Tamil,would at times yell out some cuss words on the sets,which only director Prabhudheva could understand and the two would just crack up while the other actors stared in amazement.

A strong bond

Vidya Balan was recently heard saying that she is happy that her love affair with Kolkata continues since Bhalo Theko,her first film was in Bengali. That was reason enough for her to take up Kahaani that had Kolkata,her favourite city,as its backdrop. Even Parineeta had the Bangla flavour. She was talking at the ceremony held in the city of joy where she was honoured for her contribution to cinema wherein she mentioned that her family feels the loyalty to Kolkata must have something to do with her past life. She also professed her admiration for Satyajit Rays works and has high regards for Rituparno Ghoshs films.
