CWG scam: Court reserves order on Jayachandran bail petition

A Delhi court on Monday reserved for June 15 its order on the bail plea of CWG scam accused and former Joint Director General Finance of the Organising Committee M Jayachandran.

Jayachandran submitted before the court that contrary to CBIs charge that he had manipulated the records to award the TSR contract to Swiss Timing,he merely prepared the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting on the basis of the notes taken by Bharat Prasad,Deputy Director General Finance.

The CBI had opposed his bail on the ground that he had evaded investigation and alleged that when co-accused and OC former Director General V K Verma made false statement regarding the budgetary provision for TSR in the executive board,Jayachandran deliberately did not reveal the true facts.
