China8217;s main stock index ended 0.6 per cent higher on Tuesday with investors remaining cautious about trading aggressively ahead of key economic data due the following day.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose to 2,890.6 points,after a 0.3 per cent rise on Monday.
A slew of data,including inflation,is due on Wednesday. A Reuters poll of analysts expect consumer prices in April to come in at 5.2 per cent from a year earlier.
