Reacting to the Haryana governments move to acquire land for the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust in Gurgaon, the BSP on Tuesday said it had exposed the double standards of the Congress. In a statement,a BSP spokesman said the acquisition of land in Gurgaons Ullahawas village had exposed the Congress-led Haryana government concern for farmers.
It said the Congress and the Haryana government claimed to have formulated the best policy for land acquisition, but if the farmers are satisfied, why have they moved the high court? the spokesman said.
The BSP said Congress leaders should first pay attention to protecting the interests of farmers in Congress-ruled states if they were really sincere.
