The police on Wednesday arrested Bahujan Samajwadi Party candidate from Jamui reserved Arjun Ravidas in connection with a Naxal attack which killed 10 policemen in February.
Ravidas was sent to Nawada jail after his arrest . He faces murder and attempt to murder charges.
Since Ravidas was named an accused,we had been looking for him. After the BSP declared him a candidate from Jamui seat,we were expecting him to come to the town to meet voters, said Jamui Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar.
Ten policemen including Kaukol Police Station Sub-Inspector Rameshwar Ram were killed in the attack at Mohaniatand village on February 9.
