Chile prison fire kills 83,gates were closed

SANTIAGO: A prison fire set off during a riot killed at least 83 inmates in Chile Wednesday. The police said the blaze occurred at San Miguel prison near the capital. Relatives of victims said prison police had closed prison gates,impeding access for firemen.
