Circular cant change culture at Writers Buildings

KOLKATA: There was hardly any improvement in the work culture at Writers Buildings a day after the state government issued a circular asking all employees to stick to the 10-5 official time-table. The circular also said that the employees who would not obey the schedule would face penal action. But on Wednesday as mediapersons went to take pictures of the offices,they were attacked by employees.

Goa blast: Sanstha member held

MUMBAI: The Special Investigating Agencyon Tuesday arrested another Sanatan Sanstha member,Dilip Mangaonkar,for his alleged role in last months Goa blasts. According to Atmaram Deshpande,SP special branch,Mangaonkar,39,is a resident of Sake village in Bicholim taluka in North Goa.

He worked as the supervisor of a weighing bridge at a mining company.

Khandu finds jobs for 20 party MLAs

GUWAHATI: Arunachal Pradesh CM Dorjee Khandu on Wednesday inducted 20 legislators of the ruling Congress party as parliamentary secretaries,leaving only 10 party legislators without any portfolio. Of the 20 legislators,only 17 could be administered oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday.

Blast kills three in Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR: Three persons were killed and two injured in a bomb blast at a village in Naxal-hit Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday night. A group of five villagers was going to a paddy field when they found a container on the way. As they tried to open it,it exploded killing three of them,DIG Rajnandgaon A D Gautam said. Gautam did not rule out the possibility of Maoists being behind the blast.
