FinMin seeks fund details from PSU banks

New Delhi: The Finance Ministry has asked state-run banks to report their immediate capital fund requirements,if any,following Moodys downgrade of countrys largest lender State Bank of India SBI. We have asked the banks if they are feeling any immediate stress on funds so that corrective measures,if required,could be taken at the earliest, an official in the ministry said.

Forex reserves continue to slide,fall by 1.23 billion

Mumbai: The countrys foreign exchange reserves fell for the second consecutive week,going down by 1.23 billion to 311.48 billion,for the week ended September 30,the Reserve Bank said on Friday.

The total reserves had fallen by a staggering 4.05 billion to 312.71 billion in the previous week.

Kingfisher launches services on 3 new routes
