DBT schemes to be exempted from expenditure cap
New Delhi: The finance ministry has decided to do away with restrictions on expenditure of the financial year for scholarship schemes under the Direct Benefit Transfer DBT programme. All schemes wherein scholarships have to be paid to beneficiaries under the DBT mode,are exempted from the 33 per cent and 15 per cent restrictions on expenditure for the last quarter and month respectively,in the financial year, it said in a release.
