Bhagwat calls on Vajpayee

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday held a 35-minute meeting with former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his residence. Bhagwat enquired about Vajpayees health and discussed national issues,including the political situation in the country. A Vajpayee aide said: It was only natural that the Sangh worldview on a host of issues,and its recent confabulations with the BJP brass,would have been discussed between the two leaders. This was Bhagwats second meeting with Vajpayee after taking over as the RSS chief.

Bhagwat was accompanied by Ravindra,a local RSS functionary,to Vajpayees residence. The press release issued by Vajpayees secretary N C Jhingta said: Pujya revered sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat today met Atal Bihari Vajpayee and enquired about his health. The two leaders discussed the present political situation in the country.

Ravindra said: Nothing except what has been described in the press release came up for discussions between the two leaders.
