Belated birthday tales

Tell us about your most memorable birthday bash.
Well,I hate surprise parties. Last year,I celebrated my birthday at Cape Town. One thing I miss is those kiddie birthday parties that I used to have in childhood. I remember being dressed up as Superman for a theme party organised for me. It was fun.

Tell us about your upcoming film Love U…Mr. Kalakaar.
Love U…Mr. Kalakaar is a romantic film. It is a story of Sahil and Ritu. I am playing the role of Sahil,who is a cartoonist. My co-star is Amrita Rao,who is playing the role of a management trainee called Ritu. Sahil falls in love with Ritu. As Sahil is an artist,he thinks like an artist,lives in his own world,and Ritu being a management trainee,her world revolves around financial numbers. Both are completely opposite to each other,yet they fall in love.

You are also doing a film with your sister Ekta.
Yes,the film is called Shorr. It is dark, funny and has a realistic side. The film is set in Mumbai and is based on various feelings like stress,pain and joy in people’s lives. There are three stories that run parallel and are interconnected with each other. I can’t talk much about it for now but the movie is doing really well at the international film festivals. It must do good here as well,as it is essentially a Bollywood film.

Is Golmaal 4 in the making?
Golmaal 4 will surely be made. People expect certain things from Golmaal,which has become a brand. The cast and story are not yet decided,but I know that I will be there in the movie for sure. I will be playing Lucky,as usual.

Kya Kool Hai Hum did great at the box-office,there was buzz that the sequel was in the making.
I have no clue about it. It is in the background.

Buzz is that you are doing a double-role in a movie with Sagar Ballary.
We were doing this film last year but due to recession,we shelved the project. Now I am doing a movie with him called Hum Tum Aur Shabana. Apart from me,the film stars Shreyas Talpade and Minissha Lamba.

You are acting with Govinda in Run Bhola Run. How was your experience?
The experience was really good. It’s a fun film. It is a jail comedy. Initially,I thought that I might not be able to match up to him,but he made me feel comfortable. I got to learn so much from him. He has his own style,his own genre.

Celina Jaitly claimed that you manhandled her during the shoot of Run Bhola Run.
No. She didnt claim anything like that. Actually I was a bit rough during the rehearsal. I had to pull and push her and during the process,I played a little hard and thus the marks came on her hand. But she wasnt angry or rude to me over the incident…It is some journalist who misquoted her. All such incidents happen during shoots.

Weren’t you planning to come out with your production house?
I was,but now I don’t have any time. I am totally busy,maybe in a year or two I will launch my production house. I would like to produce entertaining movies,be it serious,romantic or comic,but they should be entertaining. I don’t have any knowledge about TV,so I wouldn’t take up production of TV shows. If I have to do TV then I would rather team up with Ekta.
