Baba Ramdev aide arrested for cheating

Balkrishna,yoga guru Ramdevs aide,was arrested by the CBI Friday on charges of submitting fake documents to obtain an Indian passport. He had a non-bailable warrant against him.

The arrest came ahead of Ramdevs August 9 agitation against corruption and blackmoney at Ramlila ground in the national capital. On July 10,the CBI had filed a case against the aide relating to alleged submission of fake and forged documents to obtain an Indian passport.

The agency has alleged that Balkrishna along with the then principal of Sanskrit Mahavidayala,Khurja,in Uttar Pradesh,had conspired to issue the fake certificates used to obtain the passport.

The agency has booked the two under IPC sections related to criminal conspiracy,cheating and forgery,and imposed additional charge for the alleged violation of the Passport Act against Balkrishna.
