At sea over Navy Chief

Outgoing Navy Chief Admiral Sureesh Mehtas comments on China have caused a lot of amusement and some amount of anger at South Block. While the Admiral was very forthcoming when he said that India doesnt have the capability nor the intention to match China force for force and hence New Delhi should cooperate with its neighbour,at another function a few days later he harped on how Chinas only weak area was the Indian Navy,which is keeping it away from the Indian Ocean. The MoD,which was very uncomfortable with the talk,deflected any comment on his speech and comments. The only reaction,which perhaps indicated its displeasure,was that China was a foreign nation and comments on it would only be made by the External Affairs Ministry.
