A new chief minister, the second in a span of less than six months, will be sworn in at Itanagar.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jarbom Gamlin finally tendered his resignation on Monday, thus paving the way for installation of a new chief minister in the frontier state that shares strategic international boundary with China.

A new chief minister, the second in a span of less than six months, will be sworn in at Itanagar on Tuesday.

Speaking from Itanagar,AICC observer and former Union minister B K Handique said while the Congress legislators gave in writing that they had left the final decision for Congress president Sonia Gandhi,a new CLP leader is likely to be announced on Tuesday.

The Congress legislators were unanimous in authorising the Congress president to nominate a new CLP leader. Accordingly,we have forwarded this decision to the Congress president, said Handique.

While Nabam Tuki is likely to be sworn in as the Chief Minister on Tuesday, the AICC observer refused to confirm this.
