Magna Music,Rs 125
This ho-hum music score from Bappa Lahiri has a couple of catchy tracks like Ankhiyan na maar Shilpa Rao and the well-worded Syed Gulrez Sonu Niigaam song Yeh hai Mumbai.
Muskurake Dekh Zara
T-Series,Rs 160
The album runs out of steam completely after Sahi bola KK and the title-track by Shaan. Sunidhis Roothe roothe sounds like off-form R.D.Burman. The two tracks each by Raja Musthaque and Ranjit Barot are quite poor. This ones nothing to smile about.
Kuchh Kariye
Surya Music,Rs 100
The title is apt truly the film music world must do something about such abysmal music, lyrics and even singing. How and why are such songs actually recorded? As one insipid track dovetails into the next,it becomes difficult not to fast-forward each one. Is this the same Sukhwinder we know? Why do we have such below-par music in his debut film as actor?
Sakhi
Times Music,Rs 150
The album aims to be a collection of thoughts and aspirations of women. But the music and lyrics do not really live up to the tall requirements, especially given a good contingent of singers led by Usha Mangeshkar,Kavita Subramaniam,Mahalakshmi Iyer and Sunidhi Chauhan. Mahalakshmis Kuch na samajh paaye works to an extent.
Khwaab Anuj Sharma
Universal,Rs 150
This is a humdrum collection of songs that do not really stand out in any way. The lead track Khwaab is okay, but after that no song really makes a mark.
