Amit Shah to be suspended as MLA

Former Gujarat MoS for Home Amit Shah,accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case,who has remained absent from the Assembly for a long time,is likely to be suspended as MLA in the Budget session starting February 23. Shah has not attended a House session since his arrest in July 2010,when he stepped down as minister.

Assembly secretary D M Patel said,As per the constitutional provision8230; any MLA who does not attend Assembly proceedings for 60 consecutive days,he/she is automatically considered suspended. Shahs 60 days will end during the Budget session.
